It appears that this Valen has more of a silver tongue than I had expected, coming out of his meeting with an upgraded vessel. The crew, for what it is worth, went their separate directions with the mage taking up a room and the monk choosing to lay herself down on the docks. Meanwhile, the captain took his first officer to procure a weapon. It seems that the group has yet to become comfortable with one-another. Valen and Holinn Daeger found themselves in a gnomish establishment and struck a deal for a crossbow (though "struck a deal" and "ripped off" are apparently a matter of perspective), then returning to take up temporary residence in the establishment above the tavern, though Daeger chose a more secluded setting.
The next day, they met up with the former captain of the Queen Victoria as his crew was unloading their supplies and equipment. They were given a brief tour and then Valen has handed the reins to the ship. The few members of the former crew who chose to stay on were tasked with recruiting the rest of the members. The group then individually spent the rest of their day purchasing their own supplies, including the mage acquiring her own personal guard. They all returned to the ship and loaded on their supplies, while the original crew brought aboard another handful of members.
Just before sunset, the crew raised anchor and cast off, beginning their long journey across the seas and ocean. I feel that this will have been the last time that I will see the Prince...perhaps for his own good.
